Use of the website and of DASH’s services is governed by these terms and applies to all of its content and services.
DASH operates as an intermediary of transport services (broker/freight forwarder) and cooperates with third-party transport and courier companies for the execution of shipments. DASH does not itself perform the physical transport of shipments, unless expressly stated otherwise.
The website is intended exclusively for natural or legal persons with full legal capacity. Use by persons under 18 is prohibited.
Access to and use of the website constitutes unreserved acceptance of these terms.
By submitting and paying for an order through the website, the user confirms that they have read and accept these Terms & Conditions, including the Loss, Damage & Claims Policy.
Delivery times that may be stated on the website or in offers are estimates and do not constitute a binding delivery guarantee.
2. User Obligations
The user is obliged:
- To provide accurate and true information
- To correctly declare the contents, weight and dimensions of the shipment
- To pack the shipment properly and safely in accordance with the instructions of DASH and the partner carriers
- To ensure that the contents of the shipment comply with the legislation of the country of dispatch, transit and destination
- Not to send prohibited or restricted items without prior approval
In the event of false or incorrect declarations, DASH reserves the right to take legal action against the user.
DASH bears no liability for damage, delays or additional charges caused by insufficient or unsuitable packaging.
3. Amendment of Terms
DASH reserves the right to amend the terms of use at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
4. Intellectual Property
All content of the website (software, graphics, trademarks, logos, etc.) is the intellectual property of DASH and is protected by applicable law.
Reproduction or use for commercial purposes without permission is prohibited.
5. Shipping Terms
When using the services, the user acts as the “Sender” and also accepts these terms on behalf of the “Recipient”.
“Shipment” means all parcels or documents transported through partner transport companies.
DASH may, at its discretion, select the most suitable partner carrier or combination of carriers to execute the shipment, based on technical, operational and financial criteria.
Transport may take place through intermediate sorting centres, partner hubs or local partners in Greece and abroad.
6. Customs Procedures
DASH, through partners, may:
- Complete customs documents
- In certain cases, partner carriers or customs agents may request advance payment of duties, taxes or other customs charges from the recipient and/or the sender
- Appoint customs agents
The prices stated relate exclusively to the cost of transport, unless expressly stated otherwise.
7. Unacceptable Shipments
It is prohibited to send items such as:
- Weapons, explosives, ammunition
- Narcotics and illegal goods
- Cash and precious metals
- Live animals or human remains
- Lithium batteries without appropriate certification or packaging
- Flammable, corrosive or dangerous materials
- Aerosols and compressed gases
- Medicines and medical substances without the necessary licences
- Alcoholic beverages where prohibited
- Products subject to special import restrictions
Certain items may be accepted only under special conditions or through specific services and partner carriers.
8. Delivery
Shipments are delivered to the declared address and not necessarily in person to the recipient.
Deliveries to post office boxes are not made.
In certain cases, collection or delivery at a nearby access point may be required if the address is not accessible to the transport vehicle.
9. Inspection of Shipments
Partner carriers have the right to inspect shipments without prior notice for security reasons.
10. Charges & Duties
Charges are based on the greater of actual and volumetric weight.
In the event of a discrepancy between the declared and actual shipment details (weight, dimensions, contents), DASH and/or the partner carriers reserve the right to adjust the charge.
Duties and taxes may be imposed in the destination country, which are borne by the recipient.
11. Force Majeure
DASH is not liable for delays or damage arising from events beyond its control, such as, by way of example:
- Natural disasters, war, strikes
- Customs inspections
- Air transport delays
- Security checks
12. Sender’s Liability
The sender is fully responsible for the contents of the shipment and shall indemnify DASH for any damage arising from a breach of the terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Greek law and the Courts of Athens have jurisdiction.
14. Partial Invalidity
The invalidity of one term does not affect the validity of the remaining terms.
15. Limitation of Liability
DASH operates as an intermediary of transport services (broker/freight forwarder) and organises the execution of shipments through partner carriers, couriers, logistics companies and other transport providers.
The liability of DASH and the partner carriers for loss, damage, missing contents or delay is determined, depending on the specific shipment, by the role in which each party acts, the applicable conditions of carriage, applicable law and any applicable international transport conventions.
Any limits or exclusions of liability apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Unless otherwise provided by mandatory law or specifically agreed in writing, DASH is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including, by way of example, loss of income, loss of profits, loss of sales, business opportunity, use or anticipated savings.
Any specific date, event, commercial obligation or other special consequence of delay must be notified to DASH before the shipment is assigned. Such notification does not in itself constitute a delivery guarantee or the assumption of additional liability, unless DASH has expressly accepted it in writing.
Stated or communicated transit times are estimates and not guaranteed deadlines, unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific service.
16. Loss, Damage, Missing Contents & Claims
16.1 Inspection on delivery
The recipient must check the external condition of the shipment on receipt.
Where there are visible signs of damage, tampering, opening, crushing, moisture or loss of contents, the recipient should, where possible, record a reservation on the proof of delivery or in the carrier’s system and photograph the shipment before opening it.
Accepting delivery without reservation may make it harder to prove that visible damage existed at the time of delivery.
16.2 Notification to DASH within 24 hours
Any damage, tampering or missing contents must be notified to DASH in writing as soon as possible and, as a rule, within 24 hours of delivery or of discovery of the damage.
Prompt notification is necessary so that DASH can collect evidence in time and initiate the claim procedure with the relevant carrier.
Late notification may limit or make impossible the effective investigation or support of the claim.
This deadline does not limit any longer deadline or right granted on a mandatory basis by applicable law, an international convention or binding conditions of carriage.
16.3 Retention of original packaging and contents
In the event of damage, the sender and the recipient are obliged to retain:
- the outer packaging,
- all internal protective materials,
- tapes, reinforcements and other packaging materials,
- the shipping labels,
- the entire contents,
- the damaged items.
The above must remain available until DASH informs you that they are no longer required for the investigation.
Discarding or losing the original packaging, the damaged item or other necessary evidence may make inspection impossible and lead to the claim being rejected by the carrier.
16.4 Required information
To examine a claim, DASH may request, by way of example:
- the shipment/tracking number,
- a description of the incident,
- photos of the outer packaging from all sides,
- a photo of the shipping label,
- photos of the internal packaging and protective materials,
- photos of the damage and of the entire item,
- information on whether the damage was visible or discovered after opening,
- proof of purchase, an invoice or other sufficient evidence of actual value,
- a repair or replacement estimate, where required,
- any other information requested by the actual carrier or insurer.
16.5 Inspection – Prohibition of disposal or interference
DASH, the partner carrier or the insurer may request a physical inspection of the contents and the packaging.
Until relevant instructions are given, the damaged item and the packaging must not be discarded or altered in a way that prevents the investigation.
Any immediate measures necessary to prevent further damage are permitted but should, where possible, first be documented with photographs.
16.6 Packaging
The sender is responsible for choosing packaging suitable for the nature, weight, dimensions, value and sensitivity of the contents and for the usual conditions of international transport, sorting and handling, unless a packing service by DASH or its partner has been agreed in writing.
Insufficient or unsuitable packaging may be grounds for limiting or rejecting a claim.
16.7 Proof of value and amount of compensation
The value of the item must be capable of being substantiated.
The declared value of a shipment, including a value declared for customs purposes, does not in itself constitute an insured value or a guarantee that any compensation will equal the declared amount.
Any compensation is determined in accordance with the applicable liability framework, the terms of the specific service and of the carrier and, where applicable, the relevant international conventions.
16.8 Additional insurance cover
Where additional insurance cover or an increased declared value service is available, it must be requested and agreed before transport begins.
Simply declaring a higher contents value does not automatically mean that insurance cover has been purchased.
16.9 Loss or non-delivery
A shipment that has not been delivered within the estimated time is not automatically considered lost.
DASH may first open a tracing/investigation procedure with the carrier. A claim for loss or non-delivery is submitted in accordance with the deadlines and procedures of the specific carrier and the applicable legal framework.
16.10 Delay
Transit and delivery times are estimates, unless a specific service provides an express guarantee.
Delay does not automatically give rise to a right to compensation.
Any claim for delay is examined on the basis of the terms of the service, the actual carrier and the applicable law.
16.11 Submission of a claim and acknowledgement of liability
Receipt of a report, the start of an investigation or the submission of a claim by DASH to a partner carrier does not constitute an acknowledgement of liability or a guarantee of compensation.
DASH may act as the point of contact and claim handler towards the partner carrier.
Acceptance or rejection of the claim and the amount of any compensation depend on the actual facts, the documentation, the packaging, the service, the carrier and the applicable legal framework.
16.12 Carrier deadlines and applicable law
Different carriers, services and modes of transport are subject to different notification and claim deadlines.
For this reason, the customer must inform DASH without delay in accordance with §16.2.
Where mandatory deadlines or rights apply under national law or international transport conventions, those provisions prevail over any contrary contractual provision.
Customer guide: Damage & Claims.

Partner carriers are obliged to comply with applicable law and the professional standards of the industry.

DASH is not liable for:
- indirect losses
- loss of income
- loss of profits
- business interruption
- emotional or non-pecuniary damage
17.11 Loss, Damage & Claims
For any loss, damage or missing contents in a moving or household goods transport service, the procedure of article 16 applies, subject to any special terms agreed in writing for the specific transport.
